To be considered for financial aid, all FACTS Grant & Aid applications must be submitted by January 13, 2012 for returning Calvert School students, and by February 1, 2012 for new applicants.

Please note that after the January 13, 2012 and February 1, 2012 deadlines, all financial grants are awarded on an as available basis. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

Beginning on November 1, 2011, the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment can be submitted online here.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents to FACTS:

  • $20 application fee
  • Copies of your most recent tax forms
  • Copies of your 2010 W-2 forms
  • Copies of your 2011 W-2 forms when available
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, and Workers' Compensation

Any additional information or special circumstance the family would like to make known, please email the Financial Aid Committee at financialaid@calvertschoolmd.org.

On February 1, 2012, decisions on awards are mailed from Calvert School to returning students who have met the deadlines above. Decisions for new applicants will be mailed on February 15, 2012.

Divided Families
In the case of divorce or separation, both parents with whom the students resides as well as the non-custodial parent should complete a FACTS application. The family's ability to contribute is based upon both parents' income and assets. In addition, Calvert School may request divorce decrees and child support documentation.

Late Applications
Limited funds sometimes remain available after the initial awards have been offered in February. Families whose application for admission have been initiated after the above deadlines are encouraged to proceed with the required forms, although resources cannot be guaranteed and amounts at this time are likely to be reduced.

Incomplete Applications
Incomplete applications will not be considered until all of the above criteria have been met and all pertinent information has been compiled.
