Seventh Age Has a Moral to Their Story

The Seventh Age presented Aesop’s Fables on Tuesday and Wednesday to the Lower School, family, and friends. The fables they presented all had wonderful morals:
- The Cats and the Monkeys
Moral: Beware of those who flatter, for they usually want something in return.
-  The Hares and the Tortoises
Moral: Slow but steady wins the race.
- The Lions and the Mice
Moral: One good deed leads to another.
- The City Mice and the Country Mice
Moral: It is better to be safe than sorry.
- The Wolves and the Sheep
Moral: Be careful who you trust.
- The Fox Who Lost His Tail
Moral: To convince someone, you must believe in what you are saying.

With a Calvert twist added to each fable, the students had the audience laughing with them in the Calvert Forest and Calvert Meadow, and sleeping lions revealed how loudly Mr. Holmgren and Mr. Shep snore!

While practicing for six weeks, the students read a fable each day during morning meeting. Reading classes also wrote their own fables. Congratulations, Seventh Age, on a job well done!
