Sixth Age Takes Audience Around the World

The Sixth Age presented their Geography Show last week. Each homeroom represented a different continent, and as inspiration for the costumes, classes chose a different children’s movie from a representative country. 6-A sang “Whistle While You Work” from the movie Snow White, which takes place in Germany. From the movie Finding Nemo, which takes place in the Great Barrier Reef, 6-B sang “Beyond the Sea.” 6-C sang “Hakuna Matata” from the movie Lion King, which takes place in Kenya. 6-D sang a song named for the movie The Three Caballeros, which takes place in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. From The Jungle Book, which takes place in India, 6-E sang “The Bare Necessities. Each class also danced or shared facts about their continent.
To represent North America, all the Sixth agers put on a ball cap and sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” Their first time on the Calvert stage was much appreciated by classmates, family, and friends. Bravo, Sixth Age!
