Lower School Final Assembly

The Lower School gathered for a final assembly on Friday morning. Students celebrated the school year and many were recognized for their great achievements.
Several Ninth and Tenth Age students earned the Presidential Fitness Award for meeting or surpassing national standards in five out of six categories of the Presidential Physical Fitness Test. The Junior Physical Education Cups were also presented to the Ninth or Tenth Age girl and boy who have demonstrated the highest level of achievement in athletics over the year. Congratulations to Ninth Ager Katlyn B. and Tenth Ager Warry C.!
 
The coveted intramural awards were announced for Crows/Canaries and Hoppers/Crickets. The Crows came out on top this year for the girls, both on Track and Field Day and for the overall score. While the Hoppers won Track and Field Day for the boys, the Crickets came out on top in the overall scores.
 
Faculty members who are retiring, Michele Woods and Trini Crawford, were also recognized for their years of service to Calvert with applause, cheers, and hugs from students. Congratulations to all on a great year and all your accomplishments!
