Grandparents’ Day

Grandparents and special friends from near and far visited campus today to spend time with their Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Tenth Age grandchildren and see all the wonderful things they do here at Calvert.
The morning started with the Tenth Age Play, Lower School Musical. Grandparents and family members then joined the actors in the cafeteria for refreshments and congratulations.

Eighth Age completed Thanksgiving themed classroom activities with their grandparents. The students then presented “We Sing to You,” a choral performance of various songs.

Fifth and Sixth Age, having learned about the first Thanksgiving, sang songs about the celebration and shared facts about what they had learned. In a class-favorite song, “Grandparents’ Day,” students sang to their grandparents how they “don’t want this day to end.”

Students were excited to welcome their grandparents to campus, introduce them to friends and teachers, and show off their lockers and folder papers before heading home for Thanksgiving break.
