Oh, the Places Eighth Grade Will Go!

As the 2015-16 school year comes to a close, we are pleased to report that our Eighth Grade students will continue to be leaders at a multitude of different high schools. Our 49 Eighth Graders are attending 15 different schools this fall. Additionally, many students were pleased to learn that they had not only been accepted to multiple different schools, but that they had also been awarded prestigious scholarships!
Among the list of honors, we are proud to announce that a member of the Class of 2016 was awarded the Wagley Scholarship at St. Paul’s School for Girls. This is the fifth Wagley Award winner to come from Calvert School since our Middle School graduated its first group of Eighth Graders in 2004. This prestigious award is a competitive merit-based scholarship offered to one new, incoming ninth grade student. A full-tuition scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic merit, as determined by ability and previous academic performance.

We are proud of all of our Eighth Grade students for their accomplishments and are pleased to announce that the Calvert Class of 2016 will be attending the following schools this fall:
  • Baltimore City College
  • Boys' Latin School
  • Calvert Hall College High School
