Tenth Age Moves Up

The Class of 2020 officially became Middle Schoolers this morning at the Tenth Age Moving Up Ceremony. This ceremony celebrates the class’s years in the Lower School and wishes them well as they head across Tuscany Road to the Middle School.
Students recognized for outstanding citizenship, Ava W., Taylor W., Ben B., and Leon P., led their class in the Calvert Prayer. Those with the outstanding record in scholarship, Emily Y. and Bennett E., then presented their banners to Sixth Agers Penelope Q. and Howdy C. while Cara C., Amanda L, and Brooks K. gave the Charge to the Ninth Age, who lined the aisle in the auditorium.

State Reports were researched and presented earlier in the year. Congratulations to Chloe T. and Drake B., who had outstanding reports which they presented during the ceremony.

Head Master Andrew Holmgren and Elizabeth Martin, Head of Lower School, addressed the class and family members. The Tenth Age then recessed as Lower School students and teachers lined the walkway between the lower and middle school buildings. To cheers and waves, the Tenth Age walked to the Middle School where they joined their families for a reception and photos.

Photos from the ceremony will be available later this week.
