Question, Understand, Experiment, Solve, Test

QUEST is part of the Middle Grades Partnership Program (MGP) that forges connections between public and private school communities. It is a student-centered and inquiry-based summer program that offers participants opportunities to broaden and deepen their sense of self and the world in which they live. Through engaging and challenging project-based learning, students will find and use information to produce meaningful results, solve authentic problems, and engage in deep learning surrounded by a theme.
QUEST is a four-week program from 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. that is FREE for rising Sixth Grade Calvert students and returning Seventh & Eighth Grade Calvert students.
Wednesday, July 5 - Friday, July 7, 2017

Monday, July 17 - Friday, July 21, 2017
Monday, July 24 - Friday, July 28, 2017

This summer’s weekly themes will be announced in late January. Weekly themes from past years have included vertical farming, ancient and modern timekeeping devices, engineering, app design and programming, and city planning and architecture.
There is limited space, so please register quickly to ensure that your child has a spot. Please note that for rising Sixth Graders, preference will be given to students who can attend all four weeks of the program.
As a result of hands-on experiential learning, students will be empowered, resulting in real world skills such as resiliency, flexibility, persistence, empathy, and self-awareness. Academic skills will also be incorporated on a daily basis in an effort to maintain progress from the school year.
Calvert School has partnered with Hamilton Elementary Middle School, and in addition to hosting both Calvert and Hamilton students for Summer QUEST, we will offer events and activities throughout the school year that foster this partnership.

Registration will open in February.
