Support Calvert

Thank you for your interest in supporting Calvert School. For over 110 years, Calvert has been educating the best and brightest students in Baltimore. We are able to continue our tradition of excellence because of the strong philanthropic commitment demonstrated by the greater Calvert community each year.

Calvert School has always been known for its traditions. In recent years, we have developed a new tradition of giving to the school. We are proud that over 90 percent of our parents participate in the Annual Fund each year and over 95 percent of the faculty and staff contribute as well. This widespread showing of support is a testament to the strength of Calvert School.

As you may know, tuition does not cover the full cost to educate a Calvert student. The difference each year is covered by endowment income, fees, and the Annual Fund. This year the Annual Fund will subsidize six percent of the operating budget and will provide each student with an individual tuition credit of just over $1,300. Your gift to Calvert ensures that the School can continue to provide a high quality education for the best value while at the same time providing strong benefits and an excellent quality of life for all employees.

I encourage you to learn more about the various ways you can contribute to Calvert School. Then I ask you to join us in our efforts to preserve the legacy of Calvert School by recommending Calvert to others, serving as an Annual Fund volunteer, attending an event, making a gift, or volunteering your time.

We all have a role to play in maintaining the quality of a Calvert education, and charitable contributions are essential to our success. Whether you choose to support the Annual Fund or the endowment, gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends help to keep Calvert fiscally strong both today and in the future.
