Overview
Leadership is not just reserved for a chosen few; it lies within each of us yearning to be embraced and cultivated as we find our paths to create a better world. Join us in October 2020 for a powerful day to embolden our young leaders to find their voices, come together, and unleash their power. This day will focus on the importance of nurturing young women and will be grounded in the eight leadership tenets offered by author, athlete, and equal rights advocate Abby Wambach in her new book,
Wolfpack. As she writes – “Let’s come together to change the game and alter the stagnant ideas of what a leader looks like and acts like; let’s destroy the stereotypes of yesterday.”
Wolfpack Leadership Tenets
#1 Create your own path.
#2 Be grateful for what you have AND demand what you deserve.
#3 Lead now–from wherever you are.
#4 Failure means you’re finally IN the game.
#5 Be FOR each other.
#6 Believe in yourself. Demand the ball.
#7 Lead with humanity. Cultivate Leaders.
#8 You’re not alone. You’ve got your Pack.
Abby Wambach’s Wolfpack
Abby Wambach became a champion because of her incredible talent as a soccer player. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, she holds the world record for international goals for both female and male soccer players. She became an icon because of her remarkable wisdom as a leader. As the co-captain of the 2015 Women’s World Cup Champion Team, Abby helped transform a group of individual women into one of the most successful, powerful, and united Wolfpacks of all time. Based on her inspiring, viral 2018 commencement speech to Barnard College’s graduates – Abby Wambach’s message to all women is: If we keep playing by the Old Rules, we will never change the game. Welcome to the New Rules. Welcome to the Wolfpack.
