St. Elizabeth School

Fifth - Eighth Grade

Located just a mile from Calvert, St. Elizabeth School (SES) is a non-public school supporting students with mental and physical disabilities. Each of our four Middle School grades has a relationship with SES students. In Fifth Grade, students are paired with peers on an empathy curriculum and action project affiliated with the Nora Project. In Sixth Grade, students are paired with peers to help social skills for SES middle and high school students. In Seventh Grade, students are paired with “plunge buddies” with whom they bond and build awareness for the Special Olympics of Maryland. In Eighth Grade, all Calvert students fundraise and participate in the Cool Schools Plunge. In 2019, the St. Elizabeth School-Calvert School combined Cool Schools Plunge team raised in excess of $15,000 for the Special Olympics of Maryland and was featured in this Baltimore Fishbowl article.
