Calvert’s Middle School Advisory Program - A Hive of Activity

Hives is a new cross-grade co-educational advisory program that will focus on strengthening friendships and relationships amongst students and families. Each Hive consists of 15-17 students from all four grades, and is guided by a team of Eighth Grade Hive Leaders and two faculty advisors.
When students arrive in the Middle School in Fifth Grade, they will be assigned to a Hive and stay with that Hive all the way through their tenure at Calvert. Family members will be in the same Hive when they come through the Middle School. This will be a great way for teachers and families to build long-lasting relationships through the family’s time at Calvert.

Hives will allow for year-long competitions amongst students with a winner at the end of each year.
