For more than 50 years, Calvert graduate and filmmaker John Waters ’58 has made many of the most controversial and influential movies in American history. He has had solo art exhibitions of his photography and sculpture all over the world. As an author, he has written nine books, including his newest release, Mr. Know-It-All: The Tarnished Wisdom of a Filth Elder.
On Thursday, January 28, John will discuss his career path, his early days at Calvert, and his latest book in an intimate chat with former journalist and current Calvert staffer Sarah Caldwell.

A Night with John Waters '58 will be held in lieu of A Night on the Town this year. Since in-person events are currently on hold during the COVID-19 crisis, our annual fundraiser is moving online. All tickets and raffle purchases will continue to benefit Calvert's incredible faculty program.
