Inaugural All-School Morning of Service

On Tuesday, October 2, our Middle and Lower Schools came together to celebrate our first Morning of Service. Organized through the Institute for Leadership & Purpose, these mornings, held throughout the year, serve to strengthen our community while we help others.
Students looked into issues such as animal rescue (Bees for BARCS), food insecurity (Baltimore Hunger Project), and the need for clean water around the world (The Water Project). Each of these sessions modeled our “Head (understanding), Hands (action), and Heart (reflection)” approach to service learning.

Thank you to the Middle School students for leading these various activities. The service learning will continue through our Fall Food Drive next week, and throughout the fall as we ensure each grade has a deeper look and service experience into how we can work together to serve our communities.
The next Morning of Service is December 5th.
