Clark Wight '81 Named Interim President of The St. Paul’s Schools

Clark Wight '81 has been named the interim president of The St. Paul's Schools for the 2021–2022 and 2022–2023 school years.
Before joining St. Paul's, Clark spent the majority of his career in Perth, Western Australia. Most recently, he was the project lead for innovation and transformation at Guildford Grammar School, a 125-year-old institution. Through his consulting firm, Compass Leadership Consulting, he has spent the last decade helping schools, businesses, and their people grow through executive coaching.

His work was featured in Calvert's "Alumni on the Frontlines" series last year.

Prior to joining Guildford, Clark was a teacher and director of leadership at Hale School and headmaster of the preparatory school at Christ Church Grammar School—both in Perth. He returned to the states from 2008 to 2011 to join University School in Cleveland as head of their Shaker Campus. Early in his career, he spent six years as a teacher and coach at Gilman.

Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Education degree from Edith Cowan University in Perth.
