More than 90 Parents Join Fall BEEtalks

This fall, Head Master Andrew Holmgren hosted four virtual grade-level BEEtalks to share updates on School activities and answer questions from parents. More than 90 parents joined these informative sessions. Parents were invited to submit questions and suggest topics for discussion ahead of time and during the meetings.
At the morning talks, parents heard an update from Mr. Holmgren on a variety of issues, including details on the start of the school year, fall athletics, class trips, and the construction of the new Luetkemeyer Athletic Center.

Lower School Head Elizabeth Martin spoke to Lower School parents about the Fifth through Tenth Age program, and Middle School Head Matt Buck ’87 provided a report on Middle School happenings such as the recent Seventh and Eighth Grade trip to West Virginia, our annual MiniWeek, and fall clubs and athletics for our Fifth through Eighth Grades. He also touched on the Fifth Graders transition to the Middle School and shared more about the Eighth Grade high school admissions process.

In each session, parents were introduced to Sarah DeCamps, Calvert’s new director of the Institute for Leadership& Purpose, and heard about her vision for students in both divisions.

Thank you to our wonderful parents for attending and making this season’s BEEtalks a huge success!
