The Fantastic Final Four of Calvert's Reunion Giving Challenge

Last Friday Calvert announced the final four classes remaining in the reunion giving challenge.
The match to watch is, without a doubt, 1987 v. 1952. Both classes showed up to the final four, ready to dominate. 1987 saw a nearly $10,000 increase with a gain of 7% for class participation, bringing them to $34,969 (32%). However, in the opposing corner is none other than the class of 1952, with a strong display of what a fierce rival golden age can be. This class not only boasts the highest class participation of any in a reunion year with a whopping 46% (having gained 8% in the latest round) but additionally leads in total raised with $64,275. That said, 1952 should avoid getting too comfortable in the Reunion Big Dance – 1987 has proven that they have the potential to make serious gains.

The other matchup sets 1937 ($8,700 raised at 20% class participation) against 1971 ($24,055 raised with 21% class participation). 1937 is celebrating its 85th reunion. It is one of two classes still alive that overlapped with Head Master Virgil Hillyer. It should come as no surprise that they have the strong foundation to face down their 1971 challengers. Both are neck-in-neck in class participation, with 1971 making a gain of 5% and $7,400 since the Elite Eight.

In addition to recognizing the overall champion of this year's reunion challenge, Calvert will also award the class with the highest participation, so there's still a chance for victory for those class years that have been knocked out. Help your class by donating today
