Molly Baldwin ‘71 and Anti-Violence Program Roca Making a Positive Impact in Baltimore
Roca founder and CEO Molly Baldwin ‘71 has dedicated her career to breaking down barriers and creating pathways to opportunities for young adults in some of the most challenging urban areas of Massachusetts, Maryland, and Connecticut. Founded in Chelsea, MA in 1988, Roca now has four locations across the state in addition to locations in Baltimore, MD and Hartford, CT.
Their mission is clear: “to be a relentless force in disrupting incarceration, poverty, and racism by engaging the young adults, police, and systems at the center of urban violence in relationships to address trauma, find hope, and drive change.” Roca Baltimore released a new report this month which outlines outcomes from the organization’s first four years in the city. The Baltimore Sun reported on the positive impact of Molly and the Roca team.
