Oliver C. ’20 Honored by Association of Fundraising Professionals

Oliver was the youngest recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Youth Fundraiser Award Winners.
During National Philanthropy Day in Maryland, a program of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, Calvert School student Oliver Clark ’20 was recognized as an Outstanding Youth Fundraiser. On November 9th, 2016, at the Marriott Waterfront in downtown Baltimore, Oliver accepted his award on stage beside his father and sister.

Oliver’s award comes after organizing and fundraising for Team Sutton in the 2016 Polar Bear Plunge. This was Oliver’s fifth year participating in this event but this year, with the help of friends and family, coupled with the power of social media, Oliver’s team placed in the Top 10 with donations exceeding $21,000. Oliver continues to fundraise for the Polar Bear Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics Maryland, to support his older sister Sutton. Sutton enjoys swimming competitively at the Special Olympics.
