The 2017-2018 Calvert Fund Launched this Week

Chiara Peacock
On Tuesday evening, The Calvert Fund Launch Party provided a welcome opportunity for the School. It was an opportunity to thank the volunteers who are helping us raise money for The Calvert Fund this year and to recognize that we could not be successful without them.
This year, Chairs, Greg & Betsey Swingle Hobelmann ’87 are spearheading the efforts of more than 100 members of our Calvert Fund Leadership Team. Parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, and faculty and staff are all contributing by reaching out to their peer groups. By taking time to fully understand how annual giving impacts our School and helping to spread the word, these generous individuals are playing an instrumental role in getting us to our $1,050,000 goal.

The event at 2 Oak Place was a chance to meet other volunteers and members of the Board of Trustees. The Hobelmanns, Head Master, Andrew Holmgren, and Calvert Fund Trustee Chair, Courtney Otenasek addressed those gathered. Each spoke about the specific benefits provided by The Calvert Fund, and the many resources and programs we just could not offer our faculty and students without it. We are grateful to everyone who donates their time and to our entire generous community. The effort is truly a collective one, and we recognize how fortunate our students and teachers are to be the beneficiaries of a philanthropic community like Calvert.
