Bailliere Sisters Lisi '79 & Alexandra '82 Finding Success in San Francisco

Sisters Lisi Bailliere Dean '79 (pictured at the Calvert SF alumni event with Tom Cross '68)  and Alexandra Bailliere '82 are both in San Francisco raising their families.
These two Bay Area residents are an accomplished duo! Lisi is a senior vice president and investment counselor at Capital Group Private Client Services. She holds her BA from Harvard and her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has recently served as director of the Girls’ Lacrosse Program for The San Francisco Riptide, a non-profit youth lacrosse organization in San Francisco. Lisi formerly played on the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Team.

Alexandra is a visual artist, whose media include painting, sculpture, and installation projects. She earned her BA cum laude in French with coursework in visual art and art history at Duke University and her MFA from Mills College. Since 2006, her work has been shown in the Bay Area in locations such as Root Division in San Francisco, the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, and the Berkeley Art Center. In May of 2016, Bailliere was named as a finalist for a graduate fellowship at the Headlands Center for the Arts.

Be sure to check out the story in our spring issue of Reflections magazine about Calvert’s married alumni couples. The article features Lisi and Alexandra’s parents, Anne Dobbin Bailliere '53 and the late Thomas “Tommy” H. Bailliere '51, whose Calvert connection was integral to the genesis of their 52-year marriage. We are grateful to Mrs. Bailliere for sharing their love story.
