Dear Calvert Parents,
Welcome back to another school year! I serve as the President of our Calvert School Parents’ Association (CSPA). The CSPA supports the faculty, staff, and administration and serves as an important liaison between the school and the parents. The CSPA enhances and coordinates many of the volunteer opportunities, oversees certain events throughout the year, and of course, promotes school spirit.
Last year, the CSPA enjoyed many successes, including A Night on the Town, Grandparents’ Day, Used Uniform Sales, and Faculty & Staff Appreciation events. The CSPA is entirely a volunteer-run effort. This past year, the CSPA, in partnership with the Calvert School Alumni Association, raised over $59,000 at A Night on the Town: An Auction in Support of Calvert’s Teachers.
I hope you will take this opportunity to browse our Parents’ section of the website and learn how you can get involved at Calvert School. Your involvement not only helps to make Calvert the wonderful place that it is, but gives you a chance to meet other Calvert families, faculty, and staff. Volunteers are needed for regularly scheduled jobs in the library, art room, at athletic activities, as well as special events such as, A Night on the Town.
Please be sure to check the CSPA page of the Calvert website for information on upcoming events and activities at the School. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, Rosane Aviles
(Development Coordinator/CSPA Liaison), or anyone on the CSPA Executive Committee.
Have a wonderful school year!
President, Calvert School Parents’ Association
