Tuition

Since 1897, Calvert School has been providing students with a solid foundation in education, giving them the tools and opportunity to explore, create, and innovate long after they’ve left our halls.
  • Over the past three years, Calvert graduates have received over 100 merit scholarships to top high schools in Maryland and beyond.
  • Many Calvert alumni are accepted to top-tier colleges and universities. This year, a remarkable 71 Calvert graduates are enrolled at the most competitive colleges and universities.
  • Calvert kids are lifelong achievers – and as their journeys continue, they’re supported by a tight-knit community of more than 3,500 alumni. Using Calvert Connect, a networking site exclusive to graduates, Calvert students can reach out to former classmates, expand their networks, and forge long-lasting professional relationships.
  • Before they choose to be doctors, lawyers, artists, and actors, our alumni receive the foundation they need to succeed in any field – and they went to Calvert first.
Here at Calvert, we are deeply invested in every child’s education, and we recognize that choosing an independent school includes making a significant financial commitment. That’s why we offer multiple payment plans and a bundled approach to the cost of private school.

The benefits of bundled tuition

At Calvert, tuition fees cover far more than traditional expenses, providing families with a clearer financial forecast and more opportunities to plan while offering significant savings. From Fifth Age to Eighth Grade, tuition includes daily lunch and snacks, school supplies, textbooks, workbooks, and more. Beginning in Ninth Age, all students are also provided with a laptop. Parents are not billed additionally for any of these expenses.

  • School supplies including pens, pencils, markers, and notebooks are covered under the cost of tuition. Backpacks are the only items families must provide.

  • Daily lunches include delicious, well-balanced meals that provide the energy students need to excel in their studies. Lunches range from classic grilled cheese and broccoli to hearty beef brisket or turkey chili – and tasty soup, salad, gluten-free, and vegetarian options are available daily. We are able to work one-on-one with families of children with dietary restrictions or allergies.

  • We do not ask parents to pay additional fees for grade-level field trips such as Fort McHenry or The Maryland Zoo.

  • Should your child join one of Calvert’s impressive sports teams, athletic uniforms and equipment are also provided under bundled tuition.
