Excellent Defensive Performance

Your boys won a hard fought defensive battle today. St. Paul's defense bent and was difficult to break through.
After sacking the SP quaterback in the endzone for a safety Calvert drove the length of the field only to be stopped on downs inside the 5 yard line. The 1st half ended with the score 2-0.

The second half provided opportunities for some players to be the "next man up" as we lost two two-way starters to injury. The bottom line is the team stepped up and earned the victory.

I will name two players who, like our Navy's silent service, did their job today in quiet solitude out on their own. Will Vincent at left corner and Warry Colhoun at right corner both shut down their sides of the field. Will went man to man against arguably the biggest player on the SP team and held him to minimal yardage. Warry had control of his side and had an interception near the end of the game. Well done CB's!

We look forward to our younsters getting more playing time on Monday as we play St. Paul's again in a "B" game.

Thank you for your tremendous support!

Go Calvert!
