it was our third game in as many days at Boys Latin. Our mean of transportation forced us to bring a short squad of 14. Boys Latin on the other hand had a very deep bench.
It was our first game on a turf field and on a very broad pitch. To play a game like that, you need legs and lungs! But this was our third game of the week and it was clear from the first minutes that our bees were running low in their tanks!
Not that Boys Latin was stronger than us, they simply outrun us and used better the width of the field, stretching our defense and making the best of any technical mistakes from our bees. They took a two goals lead which seems to have hurt the spirit of Calvert!
In the second half, the head coach tried to change some positioning. It caused a little bit of confusion. After talking to the midfielders, the Bees finally had a chance to sting, but it was too little too late.
Having this game as the first of the week and having the Headcoach to make some early change could have gave a better outcome for this game.
Now it is time to rest for our bees! Get some honey and be ready for the games next week!
