Calvert 125 Campaign Brings in Record Number in Two Short Years
Throughout the last two years, nearly 425 parents, alumni, and friends rallied together and raised $16,059,812 for Calvert School through the Calvert 125 Campaign. A record-breaking $11 million of those commitments have been received already.
Our great community came together to enrich our student and faculty experiences and ensure our next 125 years. The Calvert 125 Campaign Impact Report recognizes the generosity and the impact of this major initiative.
When we first embarked on this journey in 2019, we did so with the fundamental principles and educational philosophy inspired by Virgil Hillyer. Guided by this foundation and a focus on our students and faculty, we sought to build the pillars for a strong future. And we have. Our campaign bolstered leadership programming, strengthened financial aid, sustained the Calvert Fund, and last but not least, provided for the Luetkemeyer Athletic Center.
In a special community-wide video, Head Master Andrew Holmgren said, “When we began this endeavor, we had no idea the world would be turned upside down. But that didn’t stop this community — not in our classrooms here on campus and not in our campaign. Like any good Calvert student, you did the extra credit, too.”
What we have achieved since our campaign began is remarkable, especially when considering the backdrop of the global pandemic and the challenges many in our community have faced. We surpassed our ambitious initial goal by 30 percent and closed Calvert 125, raising over $16 million, of which nearly 70% has been already received. We accomplished all of this well ahead of the scheduled campaign deadline.
Calvert 125 was made possible through the generosity of our donors and a dedicated team of employees and volunteers, including our Honorary Chairs, Division Chairs, Board of Trustees, and Alumni Board.
What we have built is a foundation for a lifetime for our students.
