The Tenth Annual Calvert Golf Classic, held on Monday, was a huge success. One hundred golfers came to Hayfields Country Club to support Calvert School and enjoy a round of golf and perfect weather.
After a close, but friendly, competition, Ian Shure, Mike Thompson, Todd Sody, and B.G. Groff ’95 took first place, winning the Hill Michaels Cup. The newly named trophy honors Albert (Hill) H. Michaels, Jr. ’51, who envisioned this event ten years ago and has been instrumental to its success.
Congratulations to Gayle Kelly who was Closest to the Pin, Eric Hall who took the Men’s Long Drive, and Sherrill Nardontonia who won the Women’s Long Drive. Thank you to all of our sponsors and to Scott Plank and Dana DiCarlo for their generous donation of the Under Armour pull-overs that each golfer received.
