Another Fruitful Fresh Food Drive

Calvert’s community made our Fresh Food Drive a success again this year. Families donated nearly a TON of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the week.
Each morning boxes of food were organized and weighed. The donated food was then delivered daily to schools throughout the city by Calvert parents. Each school then divided the food amongst families in each school’s community. The food donated by the Calvert community was distributed to five different Baltimore-area schools.

Without the help of parents, students, faculty, and staff, we would not have been able to donate food to local families. The Lower School collected an impressive 861 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables this week! The Middle School collected 1,123.5 pounds of food. Together, Calvert donated nearly a ton of food, 1,984.5 POUNDS to be exact!
