Join us for a virtual conversation with author and naturalist Bruce Beehler '64. An ornithologist and research associate with the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, Bruce has spent more than 35 years researching the island of New Guinea and is an authority on its many bird species.
He recently published his 16th book, New Guinea: Nature and Culture of Earth's Grandest Island. A comprehensive overview, it includes more than 150 images from National Geographic photographer Tim Laman and provides a rich account of the area's natural and cultural treasures.
