The State of Alzheimer’s Disease: The Bad, The Good, and the Promising

Join us Thursday, February 25, at 12:00 P.M. as we learn about the state of Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers with alumnus Dr. Beau Ances ’84.

Dr. Ances is the Daniel J. Brennan MD Professor of Neurology at Washington University in Saint Louis (WUSTL). The Ances Bioimaging Laboratory focuses on developing novel neuroimaging biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases.

His laboratory has published over 300 publications that concentrate on imaging methods to detect the earliest changes in the brain due to Alzheimer’s disease. His laboratory has pioneered comparisons between neuroimaging techniques with other biofluid markers (including blood and cerebrospinal fluid). The Ances Bioimaging Laboratory uses a team-science approach and works with collaborators in the United States and internationally.
