Calvert Soccer history was indeed made on Monday afternoon following a very decisive victory against Waldorf School.
The Calvert Boys' and Girls' Soccer Mighty B's brought the heat in this absolute spectacle of a match through their definitive display of hard work, effort, and co-ed comradery. The opening goal by David deVilliers '28 set the tone and precedent for many more attempts on goal. Impressively, Evie Linkins '28, Wren Savage '28, and Austin Park '27 each scored a brace and demonstrated their attacking prowess in wing and striker positions. This plethora of goals was complimented further by a stunner from Sam Stephenson '28, a brilliant penalty by Paige Wasike '28, and a closing minutes screamer by Gideon Forrester '28 for our tenth goal which capped off a dominant performance. The coaches and players send thanks to our officials for a great game and for keeping our players safe. Furthermore, a huge thank you to our Athletic Director, Coach D'Adamo, for making sure we (and our opponents) had everything necessary for success, as well as for setting up Calvert Soccer's very first (and hopefully not last) co-ed matchup. Last but definitely not least, thank you so much to our parents and fans for coming out to support our teams and being the glue to the Calvert Soccer community. We could not be happier with the result which is very well deserved after a great start to our season in practice and training. Onto the next with another home game against Jemicy tomorrow @ 4:45pm!
