Josie George Worthington ‘72 Returns to Calvert
We are thrilled to welcome Josie George Worthington '72 to Calvert as the Leadership Gifts Officer. Following her Calvert graduation, Josie attended Garrison Forest School and Wheaton College. Josie served on Calvert's Board of Trustees from 1998 to 2007, during which she was integral to the opening of the Middle School.
The George and Worthington families have deep ties to Calvert that span multiple generations. Josie and her husband Ned are the proud parents of three Calvert graduates - Ned '00, Arthur '05, and Linn '07. Sisters Heningham George Kennedy '61, Jinks George Millspaugh '75, and brother Peter George '66 also attended Calvert along with many of Josie's nieces and nephews. Josie's mother-in-law Sallie Hurst Worthington '50, her brother-in-law John Worthington '75, and sister-in-law Jean Worthington Cross '79 are Calvert graduates.
"It is an enormous honor to be back serving such a fine institution,” Josie shared. “I welcome the opportunity to reconnect with our outstanding Calvert community and those worldwide. Being part of such a competent team is fun and exciting."
