Game Recap #7

Daryl S. Solee
"Talent and ability are gifts, while character is a choice."

The coaches and I want to continue expressing our unwavering belief, pride, and support for our young men and this soccer team. The players, guided by the principle above, are taught to refrain from negativity, play for their teammates, and allow the final score of every game to reflect the hard work and preparation they put in every training for the game they love. This team exemplifies unity, always having each other's backs on and off the field. The bond within this team is not only about the sport they play, but also the values they uphold as a collective group.

In our recent match against Saint James Academy, the Mighty Bees from Calvert School performed remarkably, ultimately securing a convincing and much-needed victory. The first half of the game saw Calvert taking the lead with a score of 2-0, thanks to their exceptional display of perfectly curated passes, well-timed runs, and relentless pressure on the ball.

The Mighty Bees' pressure continued into the second half, allowing them to extend their lead to 3-0. Although Saint James managed to find the back of the net with one goal, Calvert responded swiftly, securing the game with a final score of 4-1.

As we look ahead to our final season game today against Friends School @ Calvert, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the parents of the Mighty Bees for their steadfast support of our program and the trust they have given the other coaches and I to develop their young men this season.
