After School Clubs

We believe in the value of after-school activities which enhance the learning experience of our students; therefore we offer a variety of clubs in both the Lower and Middle Schools. Activities are either led by our enthusiastic and multi-talented teachers or by outside professionals with whom the School has established a long-standing relationship.

Lower School Clubs

Lower School clubs generally meet once a week from 3:15 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at our Baltimore campus. With three seasons of programs, students have an array of options to choose from throughout the school year. Fall Clubs run from September through November, Winter Clubs run November through January, and Spring Clubs begin in February and run through early May. The starting cost of clubs is about $200 per season per program, and this program is separate from our After School Care program.Lower School Club offerings include:

Middle School Clubs

Middle School clubs are offered to Fifth Graders each trimester at our Baltimore campus. The offerings vary each trimester and each year.

Are club fees refundable?

Club fees are non-refundable.
Can students be dismissed to After School Care after a club?

Those students registered for our After School Care program in addition to a club are dismissed to After Care once all students are dismissed from clubs. If your child normally attends ASC and will be leaving during carpool dismissal please be sure to email the club leader, as well as Taylor Berish, Afterschool Clubs Coordinator at tberish@calvertschoolmd.org.
When are clubs offered? When does registration begin?

Lower School Clubs are offered in the fall, winter, and spring. Fall registration begins in mid-August, winter registration begins in early October, and spring registration begins in early February.
When do After School Clubs meet and where?

After School Clubs typically meet once a week (Monday – Thursday) from dismissal until 4:30 P.M. Students enjoy a healthy snack and beverage before their club activities begin. Clubs meet in classrooms in the Lower School, various gyms or fields on campus, in an auditorium or in our dance room.
Where do I pick-up from After School Clubs?

Lower School Clubs are dismissed at 4:30 P.M. through a carpool dismissal in front of the Lower School. Teachers will escort students to their parents and guardians. Please be patient as many students are signed-up for clubs. We encourage teachers to be ready for dismissal at 4:30 P.M.
Who do I notify if my child is not attending a club?

If your child will not be attending a club for any reason on any given day, please be sure to inform your child’s teacher, the club leader and Christine Hitman.
