Full-Time Assistant Child Care Teacher
Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Child Care Teacher for its Kiddie Calvert Cross Keys program. This is a 12-month position and the hours for the position are Monday to Friday, 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Kiddie Calvert Cross Keys is a childcare center providing care to infants eight weeks old to toddlers age four. Kiddie Calvert is designed to build confidence, independence, and academic interest in our boys and girls, preparing them to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for work in a supportive and friendly environment. The center is located in Cross Keys on Falls Road, which is accessible from I-83.
Qualifications of the ideal candidate include the following:
- Must be 18 years or older. Prior experience working with children is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills establishing effective relationships with staff, parents, and children.
- First Aid and CPR certified preferred (Calvert will provide training for certification, if needed).
- Must have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and have strong communication skills.
In addition, pre-employment medical exams are required and candidates must have a TB test and test negative. A State of Maryland and FBI background check will be performed. The position pays $18 per hour.
