It was a heart pulsing finals against Harford Day. After beating them earlier in the season 2-1, we knew we were in for a fight this time too. They would be coming in looking for revenge and hoping to take home the title on our home field. Luckily, we were prepared. The difference in the game was a corner in the 10th minute. Tobin crossed in a beautiful ball and Lauer rose up above the fray to head the ball into the back of the net. It was a textbook corner and finish as the keeper could do nothing but swing at the air. 
From that point on, we continued to have dangerous moments, almost getting our insurance goal a few times. Harford Day also had their moments, but they couldn't break through our rock solid defense and keeper. It was a nervy last few minutes as we all moved back in defense to see out the match. In the end, there was no denying the inevitable: we are the champions!
