Calvert vs RPCS

The win streak continues as we remain undefeated after 3 games. In addition to securing the win, we also witnessed a piece of history early in the match. Coming into the game tied for the career record for goals, Tobin got right to work taking her place atop the standings. Just three minutes into the game she found the ball at her feet following a few deflections on a corner and calmly finished it off for her 19th career goal and a 1-0 lead. After that, there was a lull in scoring as both teams played well and the defenses held strong. Then, just before the half, Tobin had a run past multiple defenders to score and double our advantage. 
In the second half, RPCS came out strong with a desire to get back into the game. They were able to score one to bring it to 2-1, but that didn't last long. Just two minutes later Tobin completed her hat trick with a free kick from just inside midfield. With a little assistance from the slippery conditions it bounced past the keeper and we had our insurance goal back. Finally, we put the game out of reach with about 3 minutes left when Ulz scored off a similar shot from the day before as she one touched it from just outside the box to put it high in the back of the net. It was another convincing win for Calvert and we have a bit of time off now before our next game.
