Letter from the President of the Alumni Board of Governors
I am honored to serve as the President of the Alumni Board this year. Calvert has always held a special place in my heart. The years I spent on Tuscany Road shaped not only my love of learning but also the foundation for the creative journey I continue today as an actor, producer, writer and director. Like so many of you, I carry my Calvert foundation and the sense of community with me.
This year, the Alumni Board and I are eager to build on that shared foundation and strengthen the ways Calvert alumni connect with one another. We are excited to launch a professional mentorship program, create more opportunities for alumni to engage regionally, and open new pathways for alumni to share their talents and expertise with Calvert’s students and faculty. These initiatives reflect our commitment to celebrating the extraordinary community of more than 4,000 Calvert alumni around the world, each writing their own stories, with Calvert as the common first chapter.
I would like to welcome our newest Alumni Board member, Lauren Spencer ’17. Following her time at Calvert, Lauren attended McDonogh School. She graduated this past spring from the University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in English language and literature and minored in rhetoric and sustainability studies. Based in Baltimore, Lauren now works for Morgan Stanley as an ISG Equity Operations Analyst I. During her time at Maryland, Lauren served on the Student Alumni Leadership Council and held positions such as Vice President of Alumni Programming, Chair of Member Selections, and Chair of Marketing. Lauren's commitment to Calvert and her wealth of experience will make her a wonderful addition to the Alumni Board.
Thank you for your dedication to Calvert School. I look forward to the year ahead!
