High School: St. Timothy’s School (Class of 2025)
College: Southern Methodist University (Class of 2029) ❘ Hunt Leadership Scholar, Hilltop Scholar

What are you studying in college, and what are your career plans?
At SMU, I am studying finance in the Cox School of Business and plan to pursue a career in investment banking after graduation.

In what ways are you involved with other boards and organizations?
In addition to my involvement on the Calvert Alumni Board within the executive committee, I am also a member of the Baltimore Women's Giving Circle as a way to stay engaged with initiatives in Baltimore. I also founded the Baltimore Teen Giving Circle in high school to educate teens on philanthropic giving while providing them the opportunity to advocate for organizations across Baltimore. Several Calvert alumni are still involved in the giving circle, and it has grown to over 60 members!

At SMU, I am involved in a 100% student-led investment fund called Velaris Investment Partners. I am also involved in Club Squash and Lacrosse, Chi Omega sorority, and I am a student analyst for Balyasny Asset Management's intercollegiate investment fund, which just started this past year.

What is a favorite Calvert memory?
A Calvert memory that I still think about regularly is my trip to The Island School in Seventh Grade, where I participated in several unique projects and adventures I will never forget. We marked endangered wildlife with tracking tags, analyzed the health of coral reefs in the area, and went on a three day camping trip off the coast of Cape Eleuthera, Bahamas. Leaving the country for the first time as a thirteen year old with Calvert friends and teachers helped me find confidence as I embarked on new experiences.

What Calvert tradition is most special to you?
The Calvert tradition most special to me is shaking hands with teachers and school leaders on school mornings after drop-off. Through learning the skills of eye contact and a firm handshake from a young age, I grew up with the confidence to communicate with adults, which empowered me to ask more questions and share my thoughts in class.

What is your favorite place on Calvert's campus?
My favorite place on Calvert's campus is the big lower school playground. This was built right before my Seventh Age year, and I remember how excited I was to play on it for the first time. I have so many memories from lower school recess, to PE, to after school care playing with friends on the playground. Every time I see the school again, specific, vivid recollections return in that place especially.

What would you like alumni to know about the work of the Alumni Board and the opportunities available to them as part of this community?
Alumni have so many resources and opportunities available to them year round in the Calvert community! Regional events that take place in cities across the country are a great way to reconnect with familiar faces from your time at Calvert as well as make new connections with alumni who may share some of your favorite teachers, spots on campus, and memories! The Alumni Board works to keep alumni connected and engaged so that the alumni community can uplift each other and the continued mission of Calvert School. Thus, any upcoming alumni events both on and off campus, such as Alumni Weekend, are a great way to stay close to your Calvert roots and take advantage of all the opportunities our alumni community of almost 4,000 has to offer!
