Author Eric Puchner '82 Talks with Alumni Book Club

Author Eric Puchner '82 joined the Alumni Book Club on Thursday, January 12 to talk about his path to becoming a writer and the process of creating novels and short stories. Eric's book Model Home was the first selection for this new group. The novel won a 2011 California Book Award and was a Barnes & Noble Discover Award finalist and a PEN/Faulkner Award finalist.
Eric also wrote two collections of short stories: Music Through the Floor and Last Day on Earth. His essays and short stories have appeared in numerous publications such as GQThe New York Times, The Daily Beast, and The Sun. In addition to working on his own writing, Eric teaches at Johns Hopkins University where he serves as an Associate Professor and Department Chair for The Writing Seminars.
