A coach journey at 10

Hello Beekeepers,
As coaches, our job is to adapt to each team we face and build a system that allows our players to thrive.
In previous years, we played with a 3-5-1-1 and a 4-2-3-1 because, well… we actually had the players to make those formations work! This year, we decided to embrace the diamond and go with a 4-4-2.

But sometimes, “new” means “there’s going to be some learning involved.” And boy, did we learn!

The players did an amazing job with their passing, using the width of the field, and moving the ball around. They did such a good job, in fact, that they ddid it with only 10 players on the field for the entire game!
As a head coach, I always ask our players to own their mistakes. So, in the spirit of leading by example, I am proudly owning mine: putting only one forward in the starting lineup… and somehow forgetting one more could have been on the field! 🤦‍♂️😂

Despite that little tactical detail—also known as a rather important one—the Bees worked incredibly hard and produced a great result. We are hopeful that, with the exciting addition of an 11th player on the field, we may become even more successful in the future!
Great job, Bees! Keep buzzing!
