Calvert vs Bryn Mawr

This was our mostly tightly contested game of they year, and the score reflected that. After dominating possession and having all the chances for the first part of the game, Bryn Mawr took advantage of a quick counter attack and took a 1-0 lead. Fortunately for us, we were able to pull even not too much later off of a corner. Hemminger swung in a very dangerous ball that was almost headed in for a goal, but the attempt provided enough of a distraction that the keeper most sight of the ball and it bounced off of her feet for an own goal.
While no more goals were scored, both teams had a few more dangerous chances. One Bryn Mawr shot in particular brought out an amazing diving save by McLean in goal. Both teams probably left the game thinking they could have won, but I believe we were the better team for the majority of the match. Our focus though now shifts to Monday's game against St. James.
