Bella Palumbi '16

Student and Hackathon Organizer
Every day, Calvert students are given opportunities to impact their community, seeking ways to better the world around them. Bella Palumbi was first introduced to the infinite possibilities of STEM in her Lower School technology class. She learned coding, programmed robots, and, by age 11, created her first app. Today, this once child innovator is recognized as one of the most promising young visionaries in Baltimore. Through her work with Digital Harbor Foundation, Bella organized the first hackathon by youth, for youth. Her work, which began in a technology lab at Calvert, is shaping the future of Baltimore and inspiring middle and high schoolers throughout the digital community.
