Thanksgiving Meal Drive Gathers 70 Baskets for Baltimore Families

This fall, Calvert Eighth Graders led a Thanksgiving Meal Drive in partnership with Paul's Place and the Baltimore Hunger Project — and thanks to the support of our community, they were able to assemble an astounding 70 meal baskets for local families.
For two weeks this November, families across both divisions contributed non-perishable goods to help fight food insecurity in Baltimore. Once the drive concluded, Calvert's Eighth Grade Community Action Captains organized the items and distributed at least one of each among the 70 baskets.

Shortly before the Thanksgiving holiday, the Eighth Graders “wrapped up” their packaging and delivered the baskets to our local partners. Thank you to our student leaders and all who contributed!
